Stories of Successful protest

Looking at the past years, it can be seen that the use of information technology among the people of Bangladesh has increased a lot due to the improvement of information technology.  Those who did not protest before, now protest through social media.  It can be seen that social media has become an important tool for social movements and collective efforts.  Because even though people are hesitant to protest physically, they are coming out of it on social media and creating a storm of protest.  As a result, the victims easily expose the inhumane incidents that happened to them through social media.  As a result of the development of information technology, injustices are exposed to all people through social communication, and social movements are formed through the theory of mobilization by coming together from all places. By building trust through teamwork, sharing grief, and through shared values, a movement motivates and inspires everyone.  In this blog of mine I will highlight social success movement through mobilization theory.

Successful social movements through mobilization theory in Bangladesh we see the #MeToo social movement.  In this movement, women from all walks of life protested against rape and sexual harassment.  In the #MeToo movement in Bangladesh, women from all walks of life are taking to Facebook-Twitter and other social media platforms to protest injustice and report the inhumane incidents that have happened to them.  As a result, through the theory of mobilization, all the women of Bangladesh came together and formed a social movement against rape and sexual harassment.  All are able to build a successful social movement through the theory of solidarity by uniting with each other through social media.  The success of the #MeToo movement in Bangladesh can be attributed to its structure, resource mobilization and ability to mobilize individuals through social media.  By leveraging these processes, the movement has been able to raise awareness of sexual harassment and sexual assault and significantly change the way countries deal with these issues.

Another successful social movement based on mobilization theory is the Safe Road Movement. Although this movement started initially, it later spread throughout Bangladesh through mobilization theory and social media. In the face of all the student society of Bangladesh, there is only one demand: we want safe roads.  The entire Bangladesh was shaken by this movement. All students go out on the road and check all vehicles and driver's papers and enforce all vehicles to follow specific rules and lanes. The Safer Roads Movement mobilized and inspired everyone through mobilization theory and social communication, which enabled the student community to create awareness about road safety through the movement. As a result, the government has taken significant steps to address road safety, including the implementation of new laws and the construction of new infrastructure.

Thousands of students protested, over recent crashes and lax enforcement of traffic laws.

In conclusion, Bangladeshi social movements have successfully transformed mobilization theory and social media as methods of organizing. The mobilization theory behind social movements emphasizes the importance of resources, political opportunities, and collective action frameworks to unite individuals for collective action. The example of #MeToo Bangladesh and the road safety movement shows the potential of social media to drive social change and address complex issues in Bangladesh through mobilization theory. As social media continues to play an increasingly important role in society, its importance in the success of social movements and mobilization efforts cannot be overstated.
